LTLZ Basketball League at Sawmill Sports Hub
The LTLZ Basketball League at Sawmill Sports Hub, powered by Spartz Sportz, is a beginner-friendly youth basketball league for boys & girls ages 5–7. This program is designed to give young athletes the perfect introduction to organized basketball in a fun, supportive & confidence-building environment.
Running on Fridays from early September through October, this 6-week kindergarten & youth basketball league features weekly 60-minute sessions led by professional Spartz Sportz basketball trainers. Players participate in age-appropriate 3-on-3, 4-on-4 & 5-on-5 games that maximize touches, encourage skill development & help athletes build confidence through live gameplay.
Each session focuses on basketball fundamentals including passing, catching, defense, shooting & rebounding while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship & a love for the game. For many participants, LTLZ is their first experience with organized basketball competition, making it one of the best beginner basketball leagues for kids in DuPage County.
Professional coaching from certified Spartz Sportz trainers creates a positive learning experience where athletes can grow both on & off the court. Teams are formed weekly by staff each Friday, and every team plays two games between 5:30–6:30pm. Every participant also receives a reversible jersey as part of the program.
The LTLZ Basketball League is open to boys & girls ages 5–7 and is limited to 36 players.

Confidence and Social Growth:
A fun, group-based class setting helps young athletes gain confidence and develop social skills while interacting with peers.
Certified Coaching Instruction:
Led by certified Spartz Sportz basketball trainers, each session provides expert guidance in a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
