This collaboration brings together two organizations committed to developing young athletes and creating a top-tier volleyball experience. Together, we’ll elevate the quality of our volleyball programs and provide the best opportunities for players to grow and succeed.

Overview

Youth Volleyball Frostbite League!

Lions Jrs/1st Alliance will be teaming up with Sawmill to offer a fun and competitive volleyball league offered in Willowbrook. This league is designed for players from 1st-8th grade and is offered to both boys and girls. This league teaches skill development and follows it by gameplay giving players the opportunity to learn skills and how to play the game. This league is run by a Lions Jrs/1st Alliance staff with the help of parent volunteer coaches.

Program Highlights:

  • Weekly Format: The first 45 minutes focus on individual skill-building, followed by a 30-minute game to show off what you’ve learned.
  • Who Can Join: Open to all players grades 1st-8th, regardless of experience level.
  • Coaching Model: Each team will have a parent volunteer coach who will be active during training and games. Practices will be led by experienced Lions Jrs/1st Alliance Coaches who will also mentor parent volunteer coaches, helping them develop the techniques needed to support their players’ growth.

 

Join us for a fun volleyball experience that highlights skills training, teamwork, and plenty of gametime!

Program Details

Winter Session 1 League Information:

Boys & Girls 1st – 8th Grade

Cost: $240 plus $30 one-time annual facility membership fee, includes free program T-shirt.

Game Days: Fridays

1st – 4th Grades: 4:30 – 5:40 pm.

5th – 8th Grades 5:45 – 6:55 pm.

Format: Practice followed by gameplay.

Season Dates: December 6, 13, 20; January 3, 10, 17, 24, 31; No session December 27th.

Overview

Youth Volleyball All-Skills Frostbite Clinic!!

Join the Lions Jrs/1st Alliance staff weekly where they will work on skills development to increase your touches on the volleyball. This clinic will focus on all-skills including but not limited to: passing, setting, attacking, serving, and overall game play. Each will focus on a new skill and end the class with some sort of competitive game play or drill. Come join us every Monday for the next 8 weeks to improve your volleyball skills. 

Program Highlights:

  • Weekly Format: 60 minute clinic style practice focusing on all the skills of volleyball. 
  • Who Can Join: Open to all players grades 4th-8th, regardless of experience level. You do not need to be a part of the Friday league to participate.
  • Coaching Model: Clinics will be led by experienced Lions Jrs/1st Alliance Coaches who will support player growth.

Boys and Girls 4th – 8th Grade

Cost: $200: plus $30 one-time annual facility membership fee, includes free program T-shirt.

Number of sessions: 8

Program dates: Mondays; December 9, 16, 23, 30; January 6, 13, 20, 27.

Session time: 4:15 – 5:10 PM.

Overview

Youth Volleyball Serving and Attacking Clinic!!

Due to popular demand, Lions Jrs/1st Alliance staff will be hosting their serving and attacking clinics on Tuesdays in December out of Sawmill. This clinic will focus on player arm swing, proper throwing mechanics, which will lead into volleyball serving & attacking. Each class will end with a competitive serving or attacking game. Come join us every Tuesday for the next 3 weeks to improve your serving & attacking skills. 

Program Highlights:

  • Weekly Format: 60-minute clinic style practice focusing on all the serving & attacking skills of volleyball. 
  • Who Can Join: Open to all players grades 5th-8th, regardless of experience level. 
  • Coaching Model: Clinics will be led by experienced Lions Jrs/1st Alliance Coaches who will support player growth and development in the areas of serving & attacking.

Cost: $75: plus $30 one-time annual facility membership fee, includes free program T-shirt.

Number of sessions: 3

Program dates: Tuesday; December 3, 10, 17.

Session time: 4:00 – 5:00 PM.

Overview

Sawmill Sports Hub’s volleyball camps are the perfect opportunity for players to sharpen their skills and take their game to the next level. Led by experienced coaches from the 1st Alliance/Lions Jrs Volleyball Club, our camps focus on intensive skill development, game strategies, and building confidence on the court. Whether a beginner or an advanced player, these camps offer personalized instruction and fun activities to help athletes grow in a supportive, energetic environment.
