Sawmill Teams Up with Lurie Children’s Hospital & Junior Council Chicago for a Crucial Children’s Clothing Drive

Sawmill is proud to partner with Junior Council Chicago and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital for a special Children’s Clothing Drive. From October 23rd – November 24, we invite our community to drop off donations at our collection station.

A Vital Cause for Vulnerable Families

The clothing collected will directly benefit children and adolescents, from newborns to 18-year-olds, who are living with or prenatally exposed to HIV/AIDS and are cared for by Lurie Children’s Pediatric & Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program.

For many of these families, who are often lower-income, purchasing basic necessities like new clothing presents a significant financial and emotional burden. By providing essential garments, this drive eases that strain, allowing families to focus their limited resources on other critical needs like food and shelter.

About the Life-Changing Program

Lurie Children’s has been a beacon of hope, establishing its Pediatric & Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program in 1987. It is now the leading pediatric HIV service provider in the region. The Junior Council was founded shortly after the program’s inception with a clear mission: to ensure all children with HIV/AIDS have access to high-quality pediatric care, regardless of their ability to pay.

Lurie Children’s Hospital is ranked among the nation’s top pediatric hospitals, bringing together more than 70 specialties and the brightest minds in medicine to deliver compassionate, expert care for every child.

How You Can Help

Look for the Sawmill collection station inside the main entrance of the building and join us in providing comfort and crucial support to these resilient children and their families this holiday season. Your donation is more than just clothes—it’s a helping hand for a family in need.
