Key Features of Our Youth Baseball Programs

Overview

Starting your child in Sawmill Sluggers T-ball program is the perfect way to introduce them to the world of baseball in a fun and supportive setting! Designed for beginners ages 4-5, our league focuses on teaching the basics of hitting, fielding, and running the bases while encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship. This fun and instructional program helps young players develop their physical skills while also emphasizing the mental side of the game, including concentration and collaboration. With an emphasis on learning through play, the T-ball program is a fantastic way for children to build confidence, make new friends, and cultivate a lifelong love for the game!

Our experienced coaches will provide hands-on instruction during games and practices, ensuring that players gain confidence while learning essential skills. Through this approach, we emphasize not only physical development but also the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and understanding the game.

Program Highlights:

Weeks 1–2: Skill-Building Sessions
Players will spend the full hour on instruction, learning the essential skills of baseball—like how to hold a bat, throw a ball, field grounders, and run the bases—with the support of our coaching staff.

Weeks 3–8: Instructional Practice + Play
Sessions will shift to a hybrid format that blends continued skill development with interactive activities and small-group drills. Coaches will guide players as they begin to apply their skills in a fun and structured setting.
